International freight forwarding
The shift in trends in the economy creates business and investment opportunities.
Containerized intermodal freight has evolved to an new level.
It is typical today for overseas container vessel to ship containers from any number of
shipping companies, and the common procedure of ports around the world is to cross dock containers,
to off load and re-load containers from ship to ship.
This results in an flow or endless pipeline of container freight at the very cost competitive rates and speed
of delivery from origin to destination. At the same time, bulk or break bulk freight has become increasingly
expensive for stevedoring and handling and still remains a slow multi-step bulking procedure.
Many common bulk that have historically shipped bulk have switched to containerized intermodal freight.
This has resulted in increased demand and shortage of supply of empty containers,
rail freight capacity and container port capacity.
